#qp2 mod - board expander

So idea of a mod is either expanding your board up to 20x20 or at least 15x20 (extending for 5-10 rows in width) permanently from the start or gradually increasing board width as you progress through the floors.

If expansion is gradual

How player's stack reacts to it? there will be empty well in the row added during expansion

How garbage lines react to it? Garbage lines will be expanded onto fresh rows as if it always was like that from the beginning (sort of sounds as win for inf ds mains tho i suppose)

How to obtain?

Since atm we dont get any mods for reaching Floor 10, it can be put in there

the only issue is that the way how qp2 board is made should be changed since iirc its rendered as a whole monolith thing rn

it handles custom board widths/heights just fine tbh

(fyi you can just edit a QP replay to see this as well)

what i find interesting is the parity aspect of it: PCs and CCs will be harder to get

#

cause usually the parity is pretty static

wet sage

well what i find difficult is trying to fit everything onscreen with mod_duo

cloud wolf

yeah duos dont really have much space

blocking it in duo isnt a good idea imo

swarp water btw

i feel like the mod would be most interesting if it added 1 or 3 columns

#

zap what do you feel about it

wet sage
#

eh, i'm not that opinionated either way

cloud wolf
#

cant believe this smh

sly nebula
#

cause i only sticked to 20 and 15 wide boards because then it will be either 200% or 150% of default size

cloud wolf
#

I think making it that much bigger would just make it too slow and bulky

sly nebula
#

got it more thought and yeah, i think 2-3 lines might be already enough so its closer to a quarter (actually that would be either 1/5 or 1/3 tho) from normal board size

#

already getting foreign enough while not taking too much space

#

as how fatigue 1 while taking only 10% of board lines is already making an impact
