Opening Tetrio with Streamer mode ON leaves a fake window (sometimes multiple) in the background. There's no way for me to close them, they don't show in task manager, but everytime I open tetrio, it'll spawn another. The more windows it spawns, the more it affects my performance on my PC. The only way I can get rid of them is by turning streamer mode off and restarting my PC.
#Fake TETR.IO Desktop "ghost" windows appearing in Alt+Tab

how would I do that? Go into tetrio properties or something?
if you've got a tetr.io shortcut on your desktop, right click it and head into Properties
adjust the Target to add --in-process-gpu at the end (mind the space)
Like this yeah?
yup
Right, I'll check it out in the morning for me
That has fixed the issue
how's the performance?
Feels a lot better. I've opened the game a few times today. Haven't seen any slower performance.
huh, interesting
ive been asking around regarding in-process-gpu since i feel it solves a lot of issues but im not sure about perf
it seems to be positive for most people tho
I think it may happens whenever I play a video on my browser while playing, whether that be YT, or Twitch, etc. and/or when I'm streaming on Discord

I've still have this bug occurring. I've noticed that going into Task Manager and restarting Windows Explorer gets rid of the windows. Although this only worked for me when I'm done playing TETRIO. It doesn't fix it from happening again.

I've tried to run tetrio with --in-process-gpu and the issues keep on happening. resetting windows explorer clears the ghost windows, but it does not prevent them from happening again
I've had this happen before
reinstalling tetrio fixed this issue

@hearty ibex I discovered a partial fix for the issue, open task manager and restart 'windows explorator' process, it gets rid of the ghost instances
but be careful, it could potentially crash your system, don't do it while you have any important stuff on
i feel like at that point you may as well just log out and back in lol

I've had a similar issue in windows 10 it's another L for microsoft in general
there's a fix that I don't remember but it exists!
a temporary "fix" is to open the task manager and restart the windows explorer it'll remove the already existing clones but it'll clone it self again once u start alttabbing once again
oops I wish I read that before I wrote my message

I didn't know people actually used alt tab
I just press the windows button and switch to whichever app I want in the task bar
alt tab can be faster
i'm pretty sure the newest version has that by default?
