After getting this error message as seen, I just try to press anything, like the arrow keys, space, c, and my trackpad. After a few seconds, the error message disappears but my pieces keep flying to the right side. According to a solution, that has already been suggested, it should be fixed by tapping the right movement key, but that does not fix my problem.

Actually I noticed it will often say "out of focus" and then it just holds onto the last tapped button, and i always have to exit the game to reset it
what error message?
I doubt that, and also I tried going away from tetr.io and going back (ofc without closing the tab) and it neither caused a problem, nor did it fix my problem when I had this "Out of Focus"
now try going away from tetr.io while holding a movement key, then coming back
the typical way to fix this is just.....pressing the movement key again, even though it's still "active"
this seems to be working more or less, but is there a way to prevent it from happening
don't alt-tab midgame?
lol
yeah this is kinda a problem with your computer, not the game. some application(s) are taking focus away without your involvement, so you're encouraged to figure that out
as if i'd do that 😂
I've started with multiplayer games now, and somehow it keeps switching to chat mid-game, is that also something with my laptop or with the website/keybinds/idk
I think I found out what the problem was
I'm using microsoft edge and for a long time, i had a feature enabled, that i didn't even know existed (caret-browsing), and with that i can scroll through websites by using the arrow keys, which are also used in tetr.io, i've disabled it, so i hope it's working now
I love chatgpt, google wasn't able to help me at all 😂
