Description

  • Mode select: Survive for as long as possible.
  • Mode options screen: You have a limited amount of HP and garbage lines are entering your board. Clear lines and restore HP as you try to survive for the longest time possible!

Gameplay

Survival features the HP system from the Kaliente mode, and there are garbage attacks coming during the mode. The goal is to survive for as long as the player can before their HP drops to 0.

Garbage system

  • The player will periodically receive garbage attacks in a same way as in a multiplayer match.
  • The longer the player is in the game, the more attacks sent to them.

HP system

  • The player starts with 5,000 HP, the maximum amount. If a garbage line appears, they will take 50 HP of damage per line.
  • The damage taken from garbage lines appearing increases after 1 minute has passed, at a rate of 0.5 HP per second (up to a maximum of 300/line). Damage can be prevented by blocking incoming garbage. Topping out will cause the player to take 1,000 HP of damage.
  • The player can recover HP by doing the following:
    Double: 2 HP
    Triple: 5 HP
    Quad: 12 HP
    T-Spin Single (mini): 1 HP
    T-Spin Single: 5 HP
    T-Spin Double (mini): 2 HP
    T-Spin Double: 12 HP
    T-Spin Triple: 25 HP

Bomb minoes

  • Occasionally, garbage lines will have a bomb mino. It counts down in real time, and should the player fail to clear it, the game will end regardless of the amount of HP they had.
  • The starting timer in seconds is 60 (0s elapsed) > 45 (3m) > 30 (6m) > 15 (10m).
  • Bomb minoes will appear more often as time goes on.

REN adding HP starting at 8 would also be neat. Should start somewhere high so REN abuse isn't as prevslent, yet rewarding for those who manage to get off a good combo

#

Not really needed imo, might be a better idea to just exclude it entirely

That would work:

2-5 ren: 8 HP
6+ ren: 10 HP

why not based on combo and not whatever "ren" is

whole mica
#

yeah.

#

combo makes more sense than "ren"

nocturne iron
#

I'm too used to using REN and combo interchangeably sorry lol

nocturne iron
#

I meant start at 8 REN, not 8 HP

amber siren

How about this?
8-14 REN: 5 HP
15+ REN: 10 HP
