#Minimum Cheese Garbage Line Height

Cheese race wouldn't let a user combo all the garbage lines and leave them with an empty board. Very rarely detrimental but still the case.

The minimum for Jstris is 3 lines I believe. Maybe subject to change for reimplementation but that would cause an imbalance in the information available to players, messing with comparing cross-client runs. Just passing this on from someone who's tried the mode.

kagathink if the user hits a roadblock in clearing cheese it sounds more like an issue and not a feature

sure but extending the brand new sticky layer option sounds like a feature and not an issue
this is an oversight. it's not like what's requested here is already implemented and not working correctly

#

if it were implemented, with precedent, and later broken, then this wouldn't be miscategorized

I thought it was supposed to be identical to Jstris cheese mechanics barring lock delay LOV_Shrug

eh, to me, this was very clearly not implemented to begin with (hence "oversight", not a feature-gone-wrong)

#

E.G. the difference between "oh whoops, this already implemented "forced minimum layer" variable was accidentally set to 0 and not 3" to "i have to make the function that'd even handle the theorized variable to begin with"

how does jstris handle this? as in, after every piece placement it checks to ensure the layer is at least 𝑛 tall?

While going down, in a combo, jstris will not update cheese until the combo ends, or if there's iirc 3 cheese line remaining on the board.

But it's not that often to go combo down to 3 cheese line remaining on the board, that I don't remember if it updates 1 cheese line as a time at that point or if it updates to normal cheese update height.

Probably best if someone can find/make a replay showing it

yea, ill need an example

#

im assuming it's just, if your cheese layer becomes shorter than 3, itll forcefully fill it back to 3?

#

but ill need confirmation
