(Just delete it if its in here somewhere, i couldnt find it in a search tho)
Simple, two players per matrix. Matrix is the same size as two joined together)
Sort of ties into team modes I guess. Tetris Ultimate apparently had versus mode support for 4 players on this, but it doesn't need to be versus, could be something to play with a friend instead of the solo modes.
In Tetris Party, both players had free range of the entire 20x20 matrix, while other games including Tetris Ultimate and Tetris GIANT (arcade) each player was restricted to their side of the matrix, with two colums in the middle shared between the two. In Tetris Effect players dropped their pieces in sequence in the connected matrix. the other games had simultaneous play.
Tetris Party also divided the pieces between the two players which forces some cooperation (dunno if I like this aspect or not). In this image, the player on the left only gets OJL the other player gets SZT and both get I, though peices can change sides via Hold, since hold is shared (again, not sure if I like that part or not)
