#Linux performance issues

My instructions to you:
• press F8 ingame
• screenshot this information in my picture below
• optionally run neofetch in your favorite terminal emulator
• screenshot that too, so we can tell what hardware should definitively be installed on the system
seems you weren't added, just pinging to notify you of the topic
...time to revive a two year issue report eh
is this wayland
where is the screenshot
Not sure if I should just make a new topic as this is an old thread, but I'd like to report performance issues on Tetrio when playing on Linux.
Observations:
-The animations are choppy and visually it looks like there is indeterminate lag and skipped frames. Animations that are smooth on windows, will instead skip and lag visibly on Linux. It kind of feels like playing with intermittent, momentary frame rate drops to 20-30.
-The odd thing is it doesn't actually register in the frame rate monitor when you press f8. I played a tetra league match and even after a spike in "lag", the reported FPS was still 400+
-The game is generally playable, but I misdrop a lot more when playing on Linux than when playing on Windows.
-The issue is reproducible for me on Mint 20.03, 22.1, 22.3, Bazzite (up to date), and Cachy OS (up to date)
Please let me know if there's any other information you need! I'm kinda wondering if this is some sort of timing issue since the reported framerate isn't dropping.
have you enabled hard vsync in config→desktop yet
Just tried it and that seems to have fixed it, thanks!
i play tetrio on arch linux too
i downloaded version 8 because version 9 kept crashing
and apparently its a known bug that's not fixed with the chromium version of the desktop client
version 8 works fine you can download it from the aur version history and build it manually
someone recreate the issue in a vm, because its unironically unreproducable by me
yeah what
