How Did I Get Banned
Lemming for obvious reasons hasn't put the formula out there, but what has been said is the following will get you noticed:

1, a lobby of reports don't ban you, but if you where in that lobby for a long period and every one that joins also reports you so its clear you are greifing that game.
2, If in every game in a short period you go in you get reported and there's a pattern that shows the reports from the lobbies are not false ones.
3, If you just farm so many reports its crazy.
4, You are reported by a trusted player .

There's 13k+ players at peak and to stand out to be noticed by Lemming in reports its not just a couple of salty kids.
As said by Lemming #report message

5. But its an IP BAN
   You triggered ban evasion by:

Reinstalling/Updating
Patching the App.
Used a different account on the headset. (even if it is you brother that shares the headset)
Using Steam when you where banned on Oculus (or the other way around).

Now you just have to wait and hope its not permanent

How long has it been since shiny rocks were introduced?
I think it was 20th of September, you got 500 to start, and 100 every day you play since then.
If my calculations are correct, someone who didn't spend any, and played every day would have 4500 on the 30th of October.
Enough to buy one full set costume the day before Halloween.

Players who only start saving up now can still get one or two of the cheaper items such as witch nose, mummy wrap, pumpkin, or pirate bandanna.

Nah, having them as timed exclusives pushes people on Steam to give Lemming money. It's a shame that App Lab users can't purchase rocks, but that's beyond Lemming's control. If everything was easy to get just through playing, then there would be less incentive to buy rocks. A major part of the reason to have the cosmetics system is so that we can help fund development of the game.
