Its 1st day of using this rom, I think battery last long and charge faster than evolution x, and also phone didn't get heat. Very smooth, no google, using microg, all works good, fine, the issue is safety net didn't pass and whatsapp backup account chosen didn't work in my case, someone said to reset the whatsapp,but I don't want. All fine.

I don't have ubuntu either but I've created a nix FHS shell that sets everything up

And since nix works on MacOS as well you could use that to set up a working build environment for yourself

I'll have to post my builds under new signing keys since the keys, for some reason, don't work anymore (something changes I guess). The good thing is that the new keys are set up for A15 so I'll try that if the A14 builds work.

I heard from someone that they were able to build A15 using my sources with a simple patch so I'll see where that goes.

I'll send you the file that defines the environment, but keep in mind that nix can be painful to wrap your head around. I started using NixOS and that one has been pain for at least half a year before I learned how to use it properly.

Should be easier than NixOS since you use only the package manager and not the whole distro but it's still something that does not work like most things in the Linux world.

I do so as well. I'm not sure for how much longer I want to daily drive this device but since I still have a spare battery, display and frame in drawer I'll probably keep doing so for some time.

I had some things to take care of so the ROM is at 9.7, last build was 20. 12. 2024, but since then I haven't had the luck to have the time to deal with updates.

But now Google Play services keep crashing all the time and someone reported that the setup screen is broken so I fast tracked setting up my new server and making new builds. Hopefully it'll get sorted out soon.

@dull raft I got some Play Serices crashes but it seems like that was caused by Magisk and the play integrity module.

I rolled the fingerprint, cleared data of Play Services, then disabled it so that it rolls it's version back and so far, knocking on wood, no crash for a while.

Once you get your device up and running get me the results of the setup screne here, please.

At this time I cannot provide anything apart from sourceforge. It should be within 20 minutes if your speed is about 1-5MBit/s

And if I had some other storage I could use it would probably take longer to setup than for you to download.

So I'd stick with sourceforge. If there are more reports about download speed issues I'll try to look into it but many sites have like 500MB size limits.
