I'm pretty sure that's Instagram's fault. It just sucks a lot of battery, even if you disable Allow running in background. Even modded IG like MyInsta will still experience drain.

I just learned to live with it.
You can also force stop it manually every time you're done using it.

1. No issues ( Strong one fails as usual but you can fix via root and some file but joye trying to add inbuilt for future update - integration not guaranteed.)

2. Serch on youtube many tutorials are there.

3. You can back-up photos to Google photos.. sms and call log via sms back or swift backup. For other files you may need Pendrive or external storage. Or maybe you can use some cloud backup apps. But smooth I don't know.
