2. Memory runaway to 99% and stops responding (let it get up to 26gb ram and 127gb page file)
3. Load the save
4. Try to load the save
5. Save File Attached```
Main save won't even load before it starts running away. Attempted to load a few older saves, some of them load, but encounter the same issue after loading.

Was just about to start the laser gun contract too ๐Ÿ˜ญ

One of the older saves that does load temporarily:

It's the second known case. Thanks for the report, we'll investigate it!

'preciate, let it be known it could be because I was dragging out letting the laser quest start.

Basically I was avoiding advancing the dialog to get more time to pre-make parts (not sure if others do/did that too) because I thought repairing the MDM started it. I see now in the other post that its the charity quest. I was near 100% completion on research and had about 80% of the needed parts queued/manufactured.

Ah you mean their existence messes things up, yeah thats kinda the general consensus wherever humans are living.

Does the game ship with .pdb files? Someone could attach visual studio debugger to it and run the performance profiler during the loading. The user doesn't have the source code, but the pdb file should at least show the call stack.

To allocate memory that quickly it should show up as an outlier either a very long function call or a an absurdly fast repeated call. This could reveal what function calls might be causing the memory runaway.

Replication should be relatively easy.

please do keep in mind that when you add a colonists you do get a popup saying they can cause issues.
