Might be related, the same crash is happening for me specifically related to calling in my first recruitment board colonists. Can open a new thread or share info here as both bugs are drop pod crash related.
Note: it is not a hard crash, my game is completely freezing up until force closing.

You did, I am braindead right now lol. I am going to see if I can find a log file that might have any similarities to your crash report so I can either upload here or create a new bug post.

UPDATE - I updated my game to the beta release and recreated the steps that caused my game to crash and I am still experiencing the same issue
