i might be the worst dd player on the planet man i just ate two torps from a 180hp shima

I will start at T4 because Clemson amazingly strong and can out dpm almost everything to the tier.
T5 to T7 all dd's have great DMP but the shells reach the moon and lang range is dificult to hit and your concealment is so big that you can't reliably stealth torp
T8 is where you actually have one of the best concealment of the tier and use that to spot, go for objectives more and if you know a ship in your range is spotted by your teammate, help him out by smoking up and fire guns and torps.
Same for fletcher, but because the reload speed of the torps are so great, you can be more active in going to the flanks for more torping oppotunities.
Gearing is... not the best at T10, biggest advantage to other DD's is the long smoke, which is used a lot in compeditative and your torps actually have 16,5 km range, so you can savely torp radar ships if needed. Otherwise, it just takes huge amount of damage because it's a old hull, it is so thicc that other T10 dd's can use AP on you and they full pen for max damage on you. AND if you angle, your thicc ship can also take full pen from AP cruisers or bb's.

It is very strong because of the concealment, speed and extreme gun range. Ferrucio is never locked out of battle, no matter what happens, you can always do something and are amazing at supporting DDs at point blank range.
