2. you have no escape route but open water once you get spotted
3. it's a CV match so you are likely to be flown over or focused in mid

If you spawned middle and really think a DD is going to try B you can use these islands as your escape route but your team doesn't really have good angles there either, so you could either patiently follow to A and use the islands there and use your long range to take some pot shots at the enemy on the way there, or do the same at C (but C does have more of your teammates)

IN GENERAL
Don't get baited into "I must use my radar"
default to normal cruiser gameplay sometimes

You can use this to your advantage BTW

IF you know an enemy wants to be somewhere, you can just set up an intercept on them there
This can be... a cap, one of your teammates, down the flank, on Asia sometimes it's just the midline for some wacko reason
If your team is leading on points sometimes the enemy has to come to you by default
