this is quite common for ijn CVs. painting a dark green silhoutte on light green base, possibly to camouflage them as one of their Maru's in hazy or foggy conditions. problem is, in most cases this dark silhoutte wont do its job and the "Cargo Ship" on Shinano is so huge, i doubt they could have fallen for this, knowing how big japans biggest civilian liners were (im sure they knew from intelligence data alr)
