The problem isn't that T7 just dunks on the NY, it's that as a Colorado, you can literally ignore them outside of 13-14km.
The problem with the NY is that it doesn't have a 25mm bow plate, everyone else that's a BB at HER TIER does.

For that though, I just try and avoid taking long-range shots to those areas. Especially after I played the fattleship line to Vermont, I began to appreciate the fact early-tier US BBs had such small turning circles.
