The torps are also really strong, you've got 8 fairly high damage torps with a spread on par with Essex, so I'm not really sure why it was never given a full squad but the only reason I've been able to speculate about is because they'd have to mess with the torps in order to balance out having it get full squads now

well, with the new consumable it's kind of hard to throw away those planes tbh. you're mostly intended to use them to farm bb's, or if you think you can nuke a stationary cruiser. so it's still easy to get at least 2 strikes off, even if you don't let them recharge enough to have a full squad
