you should try to find a good guild as fast as possible

ok so monster hunting, the main thing you want is materials

thus comes in where this game makes its money: gear

you need different materials from different monsters to make gear

you can view the different gear pieces in your forge building if you have it unlocked

some gear is much more worthwhile than others, so dont waste your materials. do your research first, or you can ask here

other than materials, monster hunting can give resources, speeds, gems

its quite a vital part of the game for all players unless you are a maxed whale lol

back to the gear, most good gear requires an "ultra rare" material from a monster that almost never drops

you can hunt hundreds of monsters and get no ultra rares, not even at gray

and good gear requires a lot of them, so to really max them out people spend hundreds to thousands on packs

There is a set limit for each type of building.
You should build more of some types than others.
It changes depending on your stage in the game.

Each building can only go in certain areas, but you can build whatever combination of buildings you want other than that.

You probably want to make sure you have at least one of each type of building since they'll often be prerequisites for building other stuff, but all the rest of the slots can be the same

To break it down: there's 4 main areas for buildings / types of building.

1. Basic turf required buildings : Castle, forge, watchtower, wall, vault etc. You only get one each of these and you have to upgrade them all for Castle level.
2. RSS buildings - you need at least one of each type, but after that you can choose how you want to spread them out. It's highly recommend that you pick one type of RSS and focus only on that one. This means you can maximize production of that one type and trade it for other stuff you need. (Don't panic about food, if you're building any decent amount of troops you will be food negative, but it's not a problem.
3. Troop utility buildings (barracks, infirmaries, manors). You need a minimum of one of each, but again: you can choose how to spread out the extras.
   Barracks: dictate how many troops you can make per batch. You don't need more than one barracks, 2 at the max.
   Infirmaries: this is where your wounded troops go. The more infirms you have, the fewer dead troops you lose. However, this is at the cost of training speed, so if you're building your comp and staying shielded, just have 1-2 and the rest manors, then switch when you're war ready).
   Manors: these provide training speed and they are your gold RSS production.
4. Familiar buildings. (Monster hold, gyms, Springs) you probably aren't at that level yet. But it's a similar set up. You need at least one of each but the rest is up to your play style.
   There's also bonus buildings, vergeway portal, artifacts fair, lunar foundary, etc... Don't worry too much about those, they aren't optional and have a fixed location

You might not want to go over your vault limit for RSS buildings.. As for infirmary's at the start you might want to match the amount you can shelter

If you want to hyper food that's a speciality, as it limits your ability to have troops.

Technically, it is possible to have as many troops as you want and still be food positive. But it does require champion chest and reduced upkeep boost, so very expensive.

As for play style, there's two basic strategies for beginners: always shield, which means you spend 1k gems per day on shields (or sometimes use free ones from rewards) - this allows you to build up a lot of troops and store a lot of RSS. You will grow fast. The downside is, if you ever forget your shield you can lose everything.
Or: always hide. This means you can't ever have a lot of troops and you have to be diligent with always sending out your excess RSS to a guild bank. But if you get burned you don't lose much, if anything. The down side is, you never really get big and you can't participate in war

You can be a food hyper and have a comp of T4 troops that's hideable and able to join war rallies, but still produce enough food daily to be effective. It's quite limiting however and requires some diligence.

As a new player in a new kingdom, just apply to the bigger, better looking guilds around. Be nice. Often if you can get in when everyone is new, and make friends, being an active chatty friendly person will make up for being low might later in game.

Honestly however: this game is heavily skewed towards paying. It's entirely possible to play and have fun as a f2p, but you need to be prepared to grind and take the time to play.
It takes roughly a year as f2p to get T4 troops unlocked and start being ready to join war rallies. However you can still enjoy the game during that process

There's a few options. A 99c pack called Super Savings that isn't currently in store is probably the best value in game. But get that if you see it a few times early on and you'll give yourself a massive boost.
Let's celebrate is also a really good value all round pack - $5 and you get 15k gems, some tomes, an assortment of speeds, and an assortment of chests to open for forging materials, including Slayer and champ gear.

If you can spring $20 for the breakthrough bonus, it's 200k gems.

There's also some packs that are really good for new players; A New Adventure, and Winning Start. They give great boosts and some gear that's pretty useless once you're well established, but very useful for a beginner.

It's pretty easy to understand so I'll try to summarise everything

First off, there are four types of troops and there are five tier of troops... T1-T5; T1s being the weakest and T5s being the strongest.

As for the types, you have infantry units, range units, Calvary units and siege units.
Infantry counters range, range counters cavalry, cavalry counters infantry; all three counter siege; siege counters wall traps... This is the fundamental unit of war in Lords Mobile

You start the game with T1 siege troops, then you unlock different troop types and tiers through research.
T5 is the hardest to unlock because you have to pay for it.

When training your troops, you need to aim for unlocking T4 as soon as possible, then maintain a T4 and T2 only comp... T3 troops are terrible for attacking and defending cos they lose morale fast. T2s act as a meat shield for your T4 troops in case you get attacked... Lower tier troops die first and T2s are pretty cheap to build; also they don't lose morale as fast as T1 of T3

When attacking another player, your goal is to counter the Frontline of the enemy... This is the best way to attack because you deal maximum damage and take less losses.
Same goes for defending.
Here is where formations come into play... You have phlanx and wedge formations. Use the appropriate one.
Last but not least is gear and talents.

If you aren't experienced in game and aren't spending a lot at the start to at least give the impression of being a more advanced player, it will be a struggle to get members to join your guild.
Also guild management is a lot of work.
You'd be better off joining an established guild, or if you really want to be guild leader, make your guild public and then you'll find it fills up. Mostly with inactive accounts, but once it's full you can make it private and then slowly weed out the bad members

But yeah, buy some packs, boost might and then people will flock you to. 😂

So is there a channel where new players can look for guilds? In the guild finder and guild recruiting people are requiring stuff I do not even know what means...I joined a guild...but it is Indonesian and so there are communication issues. I need a starter friendly English speaking guild. I play daily...I spend some...I am 3 weeks in and at about 7 million power...training T3 troops at sitting in a lvl 19 castle...I read guides and will get to where I am helpful...but looking for an active guild to help with some direction. Please point me to the training/newbie guilds...or guilds that accept newbie players and help them grow into assets

Your best bet is to look for guilds in your kingdom or in newer kingdoms. You can look at a kingdom and search around then message the r4/r5 of the guild.

The channel on here is more for experienced players from what I've seen. Smaller might guilds are more likely to accept, hopefully with more members.

When I started I made a guild and somehow managed to get 70+ members within a year before we merged with another guild in a new kingdom. Sometimes newer guilds have "open" days were you can just apply and join to help them bump their numbers up

you need a certain number of members in guild to keep it alive other wise the guild will be disbanded automatically after some time.
I think it's 11 or 13, not 100% sure on the number of members you need to keep a guild existing.

likewise if people are offline for a set number of time the system will automatically remove them from a guild (this varies, the days increase with the time a castle has been played and levels of might or something like that)

Correct if you have beds and not holding a fort or attacking someone but someone hits you all troops wounded zero reds, reds only happen when more troops than beds available

Just remember that if you attack, then a percentage will be red dead even if you have infirmary space. But on defence, all will go to infirmary until they are full, then troops go to sanctuary until that is full... Then they become soylent green

Don't get the Dark magister chests. They are useless to you. It's a trap. (Unless you're going to be a heavy big spender)

The rare materials are all very useful and you will need them. Likewise the jewels. Sigils are a bit later in the game, but make you more valuable to a guild as a rally filler on wonders, even if you don't have t5.
Star scrolls are only useful if you have a few Castle skins to upgrade, but with occasional f2p Castle skin events you can use them. Also it's a common quest in exchange extravaganza.
Same goes for exp potions. Very useful and beginners need them, but they're a lot of gems, so if you're on a budget, stick to the rare materials.

T5 isn't f2p

Takes about one year f2p to unlock T4 (maybe only 8-10 months if you're in a very good guild and use technolabes efficiently). But it still costs a huge amount of tomes to unlock T5. And even if you could unlock them, f2p can't get the lunite to make any significant number of them, and can't heal them.
Sad, but this is a reality

However!
T5 isn't necessary and many people avoid getting t5 because it's just so expensive. Far better use of tomes would be to unlock helmet Sigil and/or counters.

It's precisely 600k gems for each of the 3 buildings. Plus the golden hammers 2k each building, and you need golden hammers for every lv25 building, several of which you need before you can upgrade prison, altar, battle hall.
So it's actually more like 650k gems before you can build academy 25, which also needs a golden hammer for 2k gems

But that is possible to achieve in under a year, f2p
