when I asked, someone looks like he has good knowledge as he explained to elite trap the 208 and how to defend it lol, answered by this:

inf front is a lot less random then range front. when you have a range front and you lose half your range the enemy could either hit inf or cav. most people also have a stronger cav blast then range, so when you are baiting and can counter a rally, you often take less damage with an inf front. another reason is that its easier to get inf and range stats in mix, which are both needed for an inf front, inf to strenngthen the front and range to help against counters, but for a range front you need higher range and cav stats. inf are also mostly the highest stats in mix often. and inf phal does really well against most types of mix rallies, except for something like 208 or a high cav 424, but many people go high inf 424 comps, like 433 or 857, as well as 442 comps, which are easy to counter with an inf front. But for being offline range wedge is probably the best fromation, since the randomness it has its actually hard to zero someone efficiently, but it is one of the worst formations against mix rallies. and lastly, people like to use inf front, since many people like to go inf, since nobody who knows anything about the game would risk being in cav front. there are points for range front too tho, like cav rallies being very popular too and you probably take more damage on inf fronts when getting countered. in the end its really just personal preference, I like inf front and would chose it any of my accs, even tho most have lower range stats in mix and high cav

Forts are an even troop count battle when you aren't trolling in a dead kingdom while in castle the defender pretty much always has troop count advantage but at the same time has lower tier frontline which means it's easier to burn hence stuff like cav phal which combined with cav shield fam is amazing on a fort when it's all t4/T5 fighting is ass on a castle rally

well take Blackwing for example on a castle its gonna do way more damage than on a fort, its mainly the way they target things like someone using idk a 208 in a fort well the 8 will be targetted by most familiars but in their home base it'll target whatever has most troops ect, castles come down to I forgot the word, morale? and morale drops depending on your fams
