It depends if you want to stay food positive. Your on-hand food will never go below zero, regardless of how much upkeep you have.

Usually the only accounts that stay food positive are those that people run as a resource storage bank.

There's also a turf boost that you can buy with gems that gives -25% or -50% upkeep reduction and champion chest gives reduced upkeep as well.

Combining them, you can get 0 upkeep no matter how many troops you have

I would recommend f2p hero tech tracker, rose knight very good for coliseum, prima donna important, kind of light good for combat and coliseum as well, demon slayer pretty much to do first. But also the others would do all of them except for Sea Squire and Shadow. Later I would do it too.

At least those are the good ones for combat among other things. If you fight less, you can also make crooks and red lightning first, they give you research speed and construction speed and you will do them at some point anyway

Wolf sigils. Sigils work kinda like a 4th jewel. If you're no lead, the only ones you'll be having are the wolfpack sigils.
They give extra atk to whoever holds a wonder (fort, base, baron's herd,...).
The grade of the wolfpack sigil determines for how many it counts.
If they ask for 40 sigils. They ask for a total of 40 of the "pack attack".
Gray give 1, green 3, blue 8, purple 20, gold 40.
To be able to enlay them in gear you need the sigil research done, which is a tome heavy tree

They will hunt lots of monsters and do high level darknests, things that a new players guild will not be able to do. will help you grow faster, but then again, you won't be in protected kingdom, although it won't make much difference

There are 4 troop types range inf cav and siege
When these troops go to battle each troop is split into squads. 4 squads of cav 4 of inf 4 of range 4 of siege.
You can see this when you view the actual battle.
But because of how battles work some squads can end up taking more damage than other squads.
So if one squad of cav gets hit really bad then the t4/5 in that cav squad may get hurt where another cav squad in that same battle may not take all that much damage

probably the 2k are what you trained, 40k is the max you can attack with in 1 attack, like you can send max 40k for a skirmish attack, to increase the 2k go to barrack and train some troops

Army attack is a combination of inf range cav and siege attack so if you see 10% army attack you can translate it as 10% inf attack, 10% range attack, 10% cav attack, and 10% siege attack
