I’m really new and not that interested in war. I’m enjoying progressing my turf and heroes and maxing my monster hunt. I used my last boho on tons of tokens and used those whenever a watcher tycoon event comes up and for gf tycoon events. I’m really happy with that choice. I’ve still got 100 tokens left.

But I can’t decide if I want to use boho on a $20 monster hunt pack, or if I want to just keep getting the $5 packs and use bogo on tokens again.

I feel like the $20 token pack is better value than the $20 monster hunt. I wouldn’t pay for a $20 monster hunt pack without a bogo.

I know it is a war game and it might be kind of silly to avoid that aspect of the game, but I just always enjoyed pve more than pvp.

Both are valid choices.
Hunting gear is always good.
But you will always need tokens. At some point down the line if you start getting more interested in war, tycoon is the best way to get the rare materials needed for some of the most important pieces of equipment (notably cups), but also for p5 familiar pacts, licence to kill, exp potions, winged boots etc. And the added bonus of gems (you might even win a jackpot, but don't count on it).

By all means, you don't have to play war to enjoy LM. There's plenty of big, established guilds out there stacked with high might players who never or rarely war. They sit and run darknests, Hunt Monster, chat with the friends in guild, do events and keep getting bigger and bigger might, without bothering to drop shield. I personally can't relate, but it's a perfectly valid way to enjoy the game.
Either way, tokens are better value

The earliest you can find out almost all packs for tomorrow is about 6 hours before the main server pack reset, in the Taiwan servers. And even then, they aren't guaranteed to be in the main server since IGG makes the rules.

It's basically material madness with new gear. I would only get if you already have the majority of the standard monster gears maxed (gold/mythic) as you won't really need the newer gear until further into the game; plus you have less chance of getting standard UR in the monstrous crate due to the increase in items compared to monstrous chest

Not sure on the exact expected values, but if 3 purples per $20 pack is correct, then it really comes down to what you need at the time. Mat madness is best when you still need all of the stuff in it, especially if you still need the other items for each monster and not just the rares. Packs like bundle up give 3 different purple rares plus some chests, so probably a good option if you happen to need all 3 of those but don't need most of the other ones (and considering you'll probably want 3 cups and saberfang is good for a lot of travel speed gear, it would make sense to need a lot of those...). It's also a guaranteed drop instead of relying on luck like the other two. Tycoon is best when you want to target one specific item and only need the rare materials, but it costs $20 for an expected 3 purples instead of $10 with the other packs, And of course, tycoon also gives a lot of other useful stuff like familiar pacts and gems, with a small chance of winning a nice jackpot as well. So there's probably times where all of them are good options.

Gifting items costs the same as the item costs you when you buy it with gems. You click the gift button when viewing another guild member with lower might and you are taken to the gem store to pick a gift to buy.

You can only gift to guild members with lower might than yourself.

I thought you would be able to gift items straight from your bag. I found out I was wrong. You cannot do this. You can only buy a new item as a gift with gems.

I also thought you would be able to gift gems directly. This is wrong and you cannot do this.

These are a couple things I learned after getting the gift shop. Hope it helps.

Also, I know I’m not going to be spending the money to upgrade champ gear all the way, at least not anytime soon. So I went with Material Madness to be able to craft a mix of gear. I’m really happy with this choice and feel like I got great value out of those packs.

I usually just buy a $5 pack here and there, or maybe a $20 with 1+1 coupon, so I wanted to make this big purchase really count.

I SHOULD have waited for another 1+1 coupon and made the $99 purchase using that. I highly recommend you do that. But I was impatient and I made the choice to get it asap instead of waiting patiently. Still happy with the value, but if you have the patience to wait for 1+1, you can get WAY better value out of the $99 than I did.

Mat Madness is a great value, even without bogo. Bogo mat madness is a SOLID choice

I just hit 60 during guild fest. I’ve focused on monster gear and decided to start my mixed gear. I really wanted bogo mat madness, but I was impatient and anxious to get elite labyrinth for gf quests and the 11x rewards

So I got the $99 mat madness. Really happy with the amount of gear I’m getting out of that, but bogo mat madness, even $5 or $20, would have been even better

There's an option: material mayhem contains almost all the newest added monsters, whereas there's also material madness, which is about the same value but only contains the older sets.

There's no right or wrong answer to the new/old priority.
The newest pieces are better, but way more expensive.

It's a personal choice, but either pack is good value and will super charge your equipment sets, especially if you're a beginner

If your gear is still blue / purple then getting material packs is good. If you're already getting to purple/gold then you focus on Tycoon and lab to finish the sets.
