and note that this isn't just if you're opening a few at a time, this is lifetime stats

so if you only expect to open say, 200 jewel chests total, ever you'd be better off getting purple ones

if you're going to be opening thousands (Even if that's over years) then gold ones are better

Hello. I'm a mild p2p player with 30$ + gold pass budget per month. I've t4. I've been buying $1 super savings pack daily and use them for stuff and tycoon watcher. Now the pack is unavailable for a couple of days.
i can invest in other things that help in long run. I've been thinking either Storm fox or p2p familiars. Storm fox costs $110 for $5 packs and lv5 fams $230 and need orbs too after that. What do you recommend if have to choose from these 2. And, if there is a better option, pls include that too. Feel free to ping. Thanks

Packs are random and seasonal. It's rare for such a good value 99c pack to be on store for so long. We might not see it again, or not for a long time.

In the long run you probably want to invest in gear and jewels if you didn't already. Save up your month and get a mat madness or a crown jewels at least once. Even better if you can save your budget for a few months and get mat madness all the way up to 100 so your unlock elite Lab.
If you're looking at a hero, only get one that will give you the boosts that you need for your account goals. Most people on a budget works be recommended to start with songstress or Lore Weaver if they just get one one paid hero up to gold. Best/cheapest army attack boosts.

Lv5 fams are a good investment but remember the orb cost. Better off to get upgrades on fams you have realistically.

I've seen many many people rush T5 before they have the equipment to even take a hit, barely can solo other players, and they don't know what they're doing. Just makes them a glorified darkest filler and juicy target to get zeroed every time they forget shield or get caught in fury.
And then they get stuck with full infirm and can't heal - can't join da - because of lunite cost.

First focus on counters, helmet sigil and a decent gear set before T5.
(If you're on any sort of budget especially)

Problem is that your competitors rushing for overlord are going to max p2w heroes in one go... and that costs well over a thousand. You simply can't rush f2p heroes to gold without dumping gems into VIP for unlimited stages and more gems into bravehearts.
And you won't win without gold heroes if your opponent does have them.

That being said you can probably get pretty huge comparatively with your current plan of big guy, breakthrough, and all castle level packs. Whether you will be #1 depends on how crazy the others go

At 16mil, they're a long way off from t4 anyway. Everlasting is forever, so sooner you get it, the better. Then I'd make sure you get the gold pass each month and after that, focus on getting gems for the buildings.

Or even invest in the monster hunting gear and use that to keep earning gems and all the other stuff you need.

No amount of frosty special is enough healing speeds to last me. Once you start fighting regularly, there is no such thing as healing speeds. I use regular speeds and eventually gem healing

For some context. My last lab run was 3.5m stars to finish terrorshield. The healing speeds I received lasted 2-3 wks max, so I'd need a full run of frosty every other day to heal using only healing speeds.
It does help if you run as few beds as possible and remember to use training talents and gear when healing
