1. A cooldown helps with sorting out bad and useless quests which makes it easier and less time consuming to get the right quests for hells, Paragon and Guildfest. This indirectly makes the quest less expensive, it's a "2 (or3) birds 1 stone" situation.

Purchase packs, tycoon and labyrinth quests don't seem to be worth it yes, however they don't matter for f2p. The lab and tycoon rotation are both bad and not worth spending on for f2p. If you waste Stars on FW then you don't deserve a free skin anyway tbh.
Someone else already mentioned that the Gem quest can be used as a reinvestment for other quests. It's not cheap but not bad or too expensive either Imo.
To say that the "increase might" quest is "somewhat obtainable" is a joke. It is incredibly easy and shouldn't be a problem during Guildfest. If you can't afford a 20m might increase as F2P you're doing something very wrong.

2. Once again the 2 birds 1 Stone argument. You indirectly pay less because you do multiple events at once that most F2P would do anyway. Especially Guildfest.

3. I specifically mentioned that I'm personally not struggling on my F2P accounts. I'm saying that an event that gives you such good rewards as this one should not be a free hand out and if you do run out of materials to finish it, it would still be worth it.

I haven't seen a single F2P in my guild complain once and I prefer events like this where F2P have a realistic chance. This is basically a F2P castle pop-up shop and it's so weird that people like you still find something to complain about.

First point, a cooldwon isnt a necessity for removing undesirable quests. Youre just referring to changing quest, not the cooldwon itself. Secondly, switching quest doesnt negate the idea that the quests are expensive. Switching an undesirable quest into a less undesirable quest doesnt refute that both quest are undesirable and expensive.

Ur second point only proves my point, the EE is expensive. Let's assume that the might quest is easy, that doesnt change the point that the EE is expensive due to the majority of quest being expensive.

1. Before event you should have 20+ days of speeds waiting which should be able to complete 50-60 spins
2. Artifact coins aren't being used so you should have 5k+ lying around. Another 40-50 spins
3. You literally get 40 spins completing the other tab there.
4. 10 spins in 10 days.
5. With each spin better chance of getting elixirs for 10-20 spins.
6. Turf quests lying around also for might.
7. In a month no way you won't get 100k + so using 80k for speeds and then using the speeds gives another 40-50 spins

No way completing this won't get you the skin or nearer to it

1. Skin isn't for everyone, they add long term stats meaning there should be a struggle to purchase them

2. Getting stronger is the whole point of the game so if you had 10-20 skins how tf are you gonna get the stats from them without scroll.

3. There's other important things to use gems for like bargain store or in most cases a few collab events, or for getting mats from tycoon and labyrinth.

4. You talk about motivation. If someone doesn't save stuff then is it when there's a discount that it'll encourage them to start saving?

5. I don't see how skin would help new players. As a new player the point is building your castle, getting troops, getting stronger, upgrading heroes, so how is skins going to help new players if they spend the gems they're supposed to use for shields, for other stuffs needed for t4 then they start using it to get "castle/army skin".

6. I know many of you won't like this but there's also supposed to be a gap between p2p, f2p, farmers, so if there's actually a gemming for skins, it'll be cheap but in the long run the whole point for having that will be negated cuz everyone will have a skin being used as a decoration without getting any stat from it which is the actual point of the skins

There's actually a lot wrong with that suggestion if you look at the bigger picture not just wanting to own skins. If you wanted there were events in previous years where everyone f2p included could get at least 2 or 3 skins, another from this year's Stellar Express, Pacific Rim, King of Fighters and this last Thanksgiving event

How are we supposed to coordinate 2 fights in 2 arenas with only 1 chat ? there's 2 free chat bubbles already there, since there's no gazette nor kingdom chat.

Having the guild be split in 2 teams make it even more unfair for the guilds with international player base, or guilds that were already struggling to get fillers for the former version of DA, and that is probably the case for A LOT of guilds.

Having the same solo point requirement for full rewards but removing 6 strongholds makes it a lot more difficult to reach, especially if outmatched. I was in Team B (4v11) and barely completed solo while holding 2 strongholds through the entire fight and catching a few caravans. Though I enjoy having a smaller map. A slightly lower solo point requirement would be nice.

The player selection into each team has a too short period, it would be nice to extend the team selection period up until a few hours before the fight because it is too difficult to organize the teams. R4+ have to either take a gamble and guess, or wait for people to think about if they will be online or not, have to communicate it in the event page (which no one is used to, so we have to send guild mails that people ignore. ALSO players that did not update their game yet could not apply to teams), and then R4+ needs to see it and apply the changes. All that within a 24h time frame it's not viable.
The Team selection page is way too messy too. It is easy to misclick and apply unwanted changes, plus there is not even a message to say that a player is ineligible for the event yet they're still in the list.

It would be nice to be notified earlier when updates with such changes are made, or have a sort of "trial" version of the event before making such drastic modifications. Just to get players' opinions and let them voice their concerns and ideas BEFORE the update goes live. It might prevent the waves of complaints and concerns.

I disagree entirely with everything you said apart from the chat aspect

1. Decide a slot for when you'll have the most people on to play da.

2. Based on the new update you're not supposed to leave guild or else you need to reassign

3. It's r4 and members duty to communicate. In my guild everyone knows the da slot and the leads usually communicate a day before or hrs before the da. Can't tell me you won't know your schedule for the day up untill a particular hr.

4. No point reducing solo points cuz if that's done in masters, solo requirements will get lower per gauntlet which will eventually be next to nothing. Assuming they reduce solo requirements in masters to 30k, means that those in grey league would probably need 5k to complete solo no? Sounds like an unfair advantage. And if solo requirements is reduced of course, the dragite and rewards will need to be adjusted as well

5. You're saying player selection has a short period, but isn't that the same period as the da registration yet I don't see you mentioning that. If you could register your guild during the time frame surely the same can be done with members

• We have players all around the globe and have had a dedicated time for DA for years because it's the time frame most suitable for "most", yet we've always struggled to fill and get participants in because of how big the gap in time zones (we have people from north and south america as well as Japanese, but our bigger player base is around europe, for instance). We've pretty much always been the ones with fewer players but still managed by having our leads spend a ton more relocators, run out and then having to spend their own speedups for people to be on time. And now our already thin team is either limited by people saying "I wanna be in team A" and not showing up, either by being split into 2 groups and have 19 players in one place and 5 in the other, while some are online but locked out because they weren't assigned a team yet still could have played.

I actually liked the last gf's rewards more than what we have now. A sort of mix of all gf rewards would be nice. For the tiers we were getting consistent tomes/ember chests/astralite (specialized or not) now we're getting rewards that are even less than what we used to get before even the previous update (i.e. less than 20 monster chests compared to 10 to 20 monster crates that give the items people actually need).
We're not getting nearly as much speedups as we used to in OG rewards (20+ days of normal or gear crafting in the highest tiers), yet we have to invest even more for the different quests.
The only thing I'm actually happy to see again in fest rewards are jade wyrm pact and monster hunter chests. But their amount is so small. (3 jade pacts in total compared to single tiers giving 4 or 5 in OG guild fest)

Yet we have even more quests to do, and most of them have been re-evaluated to crazy extents (less than 200 points for 12 tycoon bosses or 9 lab bosses). We need to do more for less points per quest, with a ton more quests to go through.

Is there even a way to know what all the quests are and how much points they're worth now ? Or do we also need to figure this out by ourselves? Even just a spreadsheet.

About gf, a few things. I believe the way new gf looks is more like an exchange extravaganza, where everyone competes alone, but together... Which is a little awkward. I don't quite get the point being able to do 14 quests from 2 slots you have to keep refreshing, and the rest of 3 quest from the big pool of quests.
I think would be better if people were able to pick quests from the big pool, and choose themselves the boost they want to add to the quest. 7x 200%, 7x 120%, 3x normal. And because now there are more quests total, maybe reduce the quest appearing time. 5 / 8 / 10 minutes. At the end of the day, guild fest is fighting with your guild over who takes a quest 😂. Now it looks like most work is done without your team.
Since there are more quests, maybe do more reward tiers...? So that p2p guilds are more motivated to do gf? Because current rewards mean nothing to the average person. Up to 500-550k points maybe even 600k, something more valuable, which can't be obtained easily.
And also WHAT ARE THESE NEW REWARDS?? it's like old guildfest but a quarter. 1-2 pact 5, 4 artifact books, 3 white jewels?? New rewards are an absolute joke to the previous 2 reward systems

some quests have been improved a lot, but overall a ton have taken a drastic hit in term of effort/investment for point. I enjoy the lower amount of artifact upgrades to do for the same amount of points. that's the only quest I see had a decent upgrade. on the flipside, 9 lab bosses for 175 points is just ridiculous. even if you're the luckyest person and get a boss every time, you still need about 10k stars (20k gems) to complete the quest. it's a crazy investment for such a small point payback

Guild fest used to be one of the few f2p friendly event we still had because of the rewards we used to get. all the speedups we had in OG fest would help boost troops in the next iterrations of the event (I miss getting 60+ days of speedups every fest), but also basically everything we were getting in the last update was great (guarantee ember chests, astralite, monster crates for rare mats, tomes, blue records etc). The only downside of the previous fest rewards IMO was that we were no longer getting monster hunter chests, t5 fams pacts and speedups. now we're getting neither of the good stuff we used to get in previous updates, but have many more quests to complete for it

0 consumable guild fest is only really possible with gather quests which are boring and verytime consuming, forgetting the odds of actually getting those with good points.

I agree that fest is mainly a matter of saving and carefully using consumables and items. I'm used to it after almost 8 years of playing (haven't spent a thing the first 2-3 years and have stopped spending again for 2 now), which is why I can notice that the current rewards aren't as worth it or even sustainable as it used to for low spenders and f2p with all the other events like extravaganza & kingdom paragon when they happen at different times.
Paragon and extravaganza give items really great for growth and items otherwise only obtainable for p2p. the last guild fest rewards also did with the consistent supply of astralite, ember chests, monster crates (for the rare items) and the somewhate large amount of tomes (which are somewhat necessary for growth).
At least before this update we were getting actually good consumables for the amount of effort we put.
In the higher ties of master gauntlet in OG fest rewards we were getting like 23+ days of speedups, 40+ champ chests, a dozen ember chests and 5+ t5 fam pacts.
In the last version we were getting 50+ champ chests, 4 or 5 astralite or 100+ blue records.
Now the best I get is 2 jade pacts, 1 size boost, 6 days of speedups, 10 ember chests and a single license to kill in guild rewards.

I like that we have more and more options and ways to get usually P2P only items (hero medals, astralite, carpets, tomes) but with all of these options and events it's basically impossible for f2p to actually be able to get all of these.

And now guild fest has 5 more quests that it used to, with most of the quests that we used to take being nerfed giving less point for similar or even higher effort/item consumption.

To me the new Guild Fest is extremely expensive for people who are free to play. It is creating greater division between free to play and those who spend money. We are unable to realistically achieve rewards without purchases and the rewards are very poor in comparison to the cost of gems, time, resources, and potentially money spent in this event. It has brought disappointment to my entire guild and it is hard to keep members from being discouraged in the game and choosing to quit with these new expensive updates.

Please take into consideration your loyal players who cannot afford to spend so much on your fun game. I have been playing with my account since October 12, 2017 and I, like many others have put hundreds, if not a couple thousand dollars into this game, but I am not in a financial position to spend like I once did and I can no longer play the events to the best of my abilities because this one updated guildfest may very well drain all my extra gems, speed ups, and resource reserves.

As a loyal player of 8 years, the continued divides created by these events increasingly put me in the mindset of leaving the game entirely, and I know many other long time players such as myself are also considering this with the continued event additions that make everything that much harder for us. Think alot of f2p peeps that are moaning are because IGG have taken the fun core element of the game away and put a pay wallet wall there instead. Plus there's way to many events going compared to previous year's.
Even us low spenders moan about updates that are shite.
Where the VIP store everyone for the last few years have been requesting, removal of the notifications across the screen etc. Where the survey after each update that's gone. Plus loads of way for IGG to make money there just going for the top tiers.

when i saw the preview for the update i thought they will keep the old guild rewards , add the personal rewards on top and the possibility to score more as a member

To improve fairness, the event should be structured based on account age or progression level:
Older accounts should compete only with other older accounts.
Newer accounts should be grouped and ranked with players of similar account age or progression.
