It's doable to get first if the constellation is good enough. I got first once upon a time with f2p heroes.
It's rare that the circumstances allows it though.. And you won't stay first for long. but it's doable

Reason why he's giving you trouble is cos he's gonna go after snow queen first in that lineup.. then get to work wrecking the backline

Um....I would try rose, demon slayer, tracker, trickster, scarlet bolt. (yes, I know, no healer).
You could substitute in shade for trickster or tracker.
The idea is that the petite/etc lineup is entirely backline, so send in heroes that specifically attack backline.
Worth a try.

Welp, either way, maybe rose + the big guy + prima donna + tracker + petite devil ? I am not sure if it's would be really good or not but usually I found the big guy pretty hard to beat with my f2p heroes.
Don't take my suggestion as a good one though as I don't have big guy and green petite devil myself. So Maybe this isn't a good choice.

To be noted that because your heroes arn't lvl 60 rank 8 yet you'll have trouble to climb the ladder as soon as you'll encounter lvl 60 teams.

If you are a f2p, then you must use Rose Knight. Prima Donna is also an important hero. Trickster or Tracker are good adds. Stunner, like child of light, or boomeister, are good in colosseum. And, if you find a healer (prima or lore) in the opponent's lineup, then demon slayer is an excellent add against her. A golden level 60 max equiped death knight is very hard to kill, so you may use him too, but he is not that good like the others. If possible, then get the Lore Weaver and the Berserker. They will help a lot. Being a f2p, black crow is also helpful.

I'm no expert in colo but I saw an old video once that explained that sea squire can occasionally be good if he is at the right position (see how the hero aren't at the same position depending on your line up ? well, you don't want weak range heroes to be too exposed). Maybe that's part of the answer of why people use him.
I never got good result using him when I tried myself though so I don't. And It quite rare I see him is opponent team (I am usually between top 50 and top 150 most weeks). So I assume he is not a reliable solution to get better ranking

Lore weaver or prima should be in offence and defence both. Demon slayer should be used in offence if enemy has prima or lore. Death Knight is an excellent add in the defence lineup as f2p. Ofcrouse golden berserker is better. Rose Knight is the most important, in both, offence and defence.
