so if u copy and happens to have higher grades

If you're using a tank and want Queen and Prima in 2nd row then the only hero's you could fit in the third row are Archers (Tracker/Crow/Trickster/Death Archer)

Criteria for good defensive lineup:
Rose knight (or you lose instantly anyways/noob)
An assasin like demon slayer (not all lineups need assasins but usually you'll need one)
Lore weaver or primma donna (lore is better but p2p only)
Something like grove gardian to counter the constellation
(for ex very strong magic constellation right now,use grove gardian for the silence affect)
(if bad constellation add whatever you want as long as it's decent)
for ex:don guapo,another agility hero,another good str hero,another healer or even another assasin and a hero thats good with the current constellation
An agility hero like tracker,black crow or trickster to counter their assasin
(ALWAYS include a healer and rose knight,use your strongest heroes,don't use a gray r1 lore weaver instead your your maxed primma donna just bec everyone says lore weaver is good)

Your composition was probably better than your opponent. and you got lucky. level, grade and rank only change the stats of your heroes, even with slightly better stats, if the composition is bad, you won't win. That and the luck factor (as not every battle are the same and maybe you got a scenario favorable to you on that one)

True, and if the constellation is on your side. I don't have enough knowledge though. I mostly do trial and error until I find a decent composition for the week and try to hit the composition I know I can beat because of the previous result. And since the constellation change every week this process restart every week as well.
Maybe one day I'll have a better understanding of it and will be able to chose the best team depending on the opponent every time. but right now It's brut force tries
