How do you define dead?

Read the pins man

(hint: farmers think no kingdom is dead enough because it doesn't exist where you won't get burned if you forgot shield. Active war players think every kingdom is dead if there's no 11k and constant rally parties)

If you're a newbie with c9, it's irrelevant. You will be burned if you have RSS or troops out.

What you want is a kingdom with a relatively low population so you can gather without having to race to find good tiles.

Don't ask for a dead kingdom ask for a low population farmer kingdom

Additional info: low might kingdoms are often more war active because all the puny 400m might castles who wouldn't dare to drop Shield in an active kingdom are running around in fury and sleeping with leaders. Pure farmers don't want to go there either (and the scroll cost is so high it's unrealistic for any big guild to go, plus within a day or 2 everyone is either burned or shielded and then it's a dead kingdom)

You're only c9. So you started playing very recently? I assume you're in a new kingdom and it's overrun with "super active accounts that gather 24/7" and you can't get on tiles?

You won't easily find a guild in an open kingdom that accepts a c9, but I can recommend you pick a quiet farmer kingdom with low population and join a public guild to start with. Try to make friends with people in the kingdom and see how you go getting accepted into a bigger guild. If you're active and chatty and participate in events, that goes a long way.

Otherwise just stay in your home kingdom and find a guild there.

K605 is very low population and even the 30b guild there says on their board that they're farmers (they truly are farmers they never rally). There's huge tracts of open space, no maxed account. And there's a few public guild with decent gifts you can join.
K602 is also very low population but there's really a lot of "24/7 active castles" that gather making it hard to get tiles.

Kingdom 858 is too quiet. We don't even use shields and nobody attacks us. All heroes are out and nobody takes them. And big guilds can't come because it asks many scrolls.
