I’m pretty sure after the first 2 years of playing mainly F2P, I opened up my 300+ champ chests that I accumulated and was lucky enough to get a gold mane. Was enough for purple off hand lol.
I agree with you about just sticking to champ packs if I were to do it over…I spent so many months accumulating mat madness packs and when I finally got mythic garg belt, it ended up being useless when I replaced it with my first mythic champ piece about a month later 💀

And now I got an addiction for gathering champ pieces and in a couple weeks I’ll probably be able to get mythic chest piece which is gonna replace my lv5 tempered firewall plate 😥

The mythic cup I don’t blame you for (because I don’t have one either), but if still don’t have mythic frostwing greatsword, I’m shocked 😜 I recently made a gold one to use as fake gear and still have 19k frostwing chests unopened

I have 2 mythic champ pieces (armour and boots) and now an almost gold offhand as well, and still not a mythic frostwing sword. Just had utter crap luck with frostwing, never got better than a blue heart, and usually get Nada from Frost chests. I'm not gonna complain after all my luck with manes in champ chests, especially the f2p ones from Tycoon and event prizes! But yeah my mix set looks hilarious with the gold Frost sword and mythic champ

I thought that if your front is range,you need to have high cav stats. High range stats wouldn't help much against inf counters compared to how high cav stats would help against inf counters with a range front, because when defending,all troops are fighting.

You should ideally be balanced with priority slightly to your main front/main counter

If you're not balanced you open yourself up really. Counters really hurt so you don't want to lock yourself to one.
Plus say you take a triple rally with 1 of each coming. You'll want balanced stats with a slightly buffed front/counter front.

Mitts and bumble helm for mix. Saber helm for pure inf. Rejewel to the mitts, it's much better, codex will be for pure range. Take the drum out, the point of a mix set is army stats or gear that buffs 2 or more troop types.

So take a minute to think about the logic there. At 2,7b, even if you have a guild of 3b people, the most you can send is 2,3m troops in a rally.
Your 2,7b Overlord, the maximum research is around 1,3b so that's at the least 1,4b in troop might. Most likely more. Assuming a standard mix of T2/T4/t5, that's at least 50 million troops. (Most likely more, probably your guy is a troop hoarder).
So the size of people who attack is a little irrelevant - it's really about the gear and familiars - but say you find a guild who are willing to go against your dude with 50m+ troops, and they send 2,3m each rally... If he's in gear and online to counter, there's just no chance to take it down. If you catch them offline and not in gear, 50m troops would still eat a bunch of rallies before the frontline goes. More if the guild mates are reining.

This is why every time some little 20m dude is complaining that their Overlord is a bully and "please can everyone come to my kingdom to beat them" , everyone just rolls their eyes

Assuming that Def is negligible

We just hit a rally target who thought he was a rally trap, baiting a cav front in hunting gear.
We sent range... The guy was online and switched into very cav heavy gear, and got totally wrecked.
We asked what the hell he was thinking and he said 'oh I'm a trap and cav is my strongest so I just do that'

Well gold fist is better than purple mitts

Use Wedge if you're not sure what the enemy is sending. Once you find out switch to Phalanx and counter the rally. Phalanx always best.

Wedge dampens counters. Or helps for multi rallies.
Phalanx is best full counter. If you don't have over 40% cav counters I'd suggest Cav Wedge for infantry counters until it's higher unless you're big.
Wedge is best offline front too. Can buy some time to get online.

Wedges can be cut deeper but phalanx can be cut wider. If you're low T2 then you're 100% taking t4 losses if you counter with a Wedge.
