The armor and frost sword are easier range gear to get on the second set.

It your f2p then this can be a template. You won’t be going after dn6 and won’t need everything gold/orange. This set scaled down can still be decent and many of the gears can be used in mix set also

If you're planning on investing in getting that one piece to at least purple, then boots. If you're up for the investment to get the champ chest all the way to gold, definitely go for it (because it is not only an op item it will make you food positive with any troop comp.)
If you're probably not gonna get this one champ piece upgrade, or maybe blue at best, go for an offhand (the inf one is usually recommended) just for the training speed it's useful.
The boosts give good travel speed, but unless the rest of your gear is crap they're not gonna replace anything until purple at least.

Curipus peoples thoughts: Assuming you have a good build and will take a rally what's better to receive in? A blast set to counter rally (Assuming you have enough time to counter and swap gear) that maximizes troop type attack, or a mix set that maximizes army health? Seems if youre a defender, given you should have an army at least 5x the rally size, health is more important to extend their time in combat. But that's just an untested guess. I hear all the time that attack is more important than hp but I'm not sure what is true for attackers is true for defenders, which I guess is the underlying assumption I'm questioning

Get one cup all the way to mythic. In the mean time use 2 mythic blight rings. They are relatively cheap to get and are good place holders. Once you understand how much a cup costs you can decide if it's worth going for the second one
