Its a lot more ATK but realistically if you can't cap you can probably make a good enough codex instead. HP is really important though

24% troop atk is like 8% army atk... compared to 15.5% hp they are pretty equivalent. If you lack cav stats like most people do the champ piece may give better results

It's irrelevant what gear you wear when you initiate battle button. Or what gear you switch in 17 times while marching. Only matters what gear you wear at the exact moment the army hits.
This is true for everything. Hunting, gathering, etc.

For mix id recommend the cav main hand... balances stats nicely when mix sets are typically low cav atk. And more army atk than crusher. Its also a significant improvement over cudgel for cav blast.
Otherwise go for faith... but ofc its a lot more expensive.

You should have a look at your available jewels before considering your stats low on infantry... You may have low inf stat in gear only, but you may have more inf jewels... Better to consider all the jewels (blue or higher) that can be inlaid & then depict whether your stat would be balanced or not... And, then accordingly, you can use Last accessory piece to balance it out..

Say, you're down by >15% in infantry, you can use Terror vial, if down by Cav, you can use a drum or Dragon's Iris... Or, if you're down by Both Inf & cav, better to use a Mythic Aqua Anemone(easy to upgrade to mythic)

Skullcrusher has more "ATK" stats than rod on the same grade. If you are attacking/rallying with ranged and want to get a walkback/save troops, then use rod, otherwise Skullcrusher is better to do more damage but since Skullcrusher is mainly used in mixed set, people just inlay 3 different ATK jewels in it as compared to a rod which can have all ranged-specific jewels.

It's not a bad idea to put a lot into MH early, you don't need army stats as you aren't rally leading, only reason to get them is t4 which you need level 25 academy for anyways, and monster hunting gives you speeds and gems to get that academy upgraded earlier

you know how t1 is just terrible for a trap since its weaker compared to t2 and it also has less hp and def
