So, i would recommend you to go into next direction:

1. Champ boots for infantry.
2. Champ helm for cavalry.

Then it depends from how much are you spending on game. If you can build champ inf-cav accessories, build them firstly.

If not, then:
3. Champ chest for range.
4. Main-hand sword for inf-range.

Why so? Because:

1. You have a firewall plate as a chest (which is extremely good for mix gears, and its cheap to temper it).
2. For off-hand you have Winter Glows, which are incredibly good for mix set. Because they had on 12 lvl of tempering same amount of HP % as an Emperor shield (as far as i know).
3. Champ Main-hand piece of gear doesn’t give you Hp, only Atk. So because of that, its better to upgrade gears, which give you Atk and HP.

def jewel is not bad ,as per your gear i.e purple mostly you would have cav,range and inf atk jewels atleast purple ,if there are enough purple ,inlay them or make them blue and inlay and change them when you have higher grade jewels

Don’t craft 1 of everything like yr doing. Since your just starting out focus on the frost wing sword. For helmet focus bumble helm. Chest make the Trojan chest. You have good boots just keep leveling them.. lunar scimitar is a good off hand and for accessories maybe try 1-2 lost island relics and a aquanemone or if u wanna go a bit more advanced focus on a cup a ring and a burning scroll. Or 2 cups and 1 ring.

Regarding champion offhand, does anyone think that the non champ off hand (eg. Boomerang, eerie lantern, venom blade) offer much better stats the any of the champion counterpart? Champ off hand only gives def and no hp in that regard.

Little advice/opinion please. I have:

1. Storm Tasset - Purple, 6/11 gold pearls, in mix set.
2. Kraken's Anchor - Gold, can go to mythic, not used right now. If mythic would be used in cav set.
3. Ripper Claw - Mythic, cannot be tempered. In cav set.
4. Eon Axe - Purple, 2/7 gold rage, not used right now.

Which option (if any of them) should I go for? I don't know enough to say whether I should a) go for the anchor or b) hold off and get the gold tasset (and also in that case wait for the axe)?

I am using the Wyrm Rod (tempered +3) for range set. Gold FWGS for mix set, will switch to Skullcrusher when it is gold (currently purple, 5/9 gold brains)

Tasset then axe. Tasset can be used in inf, mix, cav sets. Axe is great for cav, claw I haven't seen anyone using that beside speed set. But again all the pieces are different pieces ranging from legs to offhand. So it also depends on your priorities. But generally I said.

Tasset and Axe will be the two I go for. Tasset now at 7/11 after 1100 Luck Tokens. Was at 4/11 before the tokens.

Yeah but the hp matters too. If you really want there no harm in using the claw till the other 2 are gold.

Should I get my garg belt to purple before getting my drums to gold?

This is a good pre level 60 gear. It has great mix stats.
Your gear has a few problems
-the main and offhand are both good for infantry, but not great for mix
-the accesories are only good for speed gear
-boots and chest piece both are quite useless as they mainly give defence. And they take materials needed for the arguably best defensive offhand in the game.
