Yes as F2p they can't use t5 as crazily as p2p ones but still if he gets targets with low troops, he can hit with 40-60% t5 to deal high damage while he won't take much/any t5 losses...

He don't need to necessarily fill rallies with t5 that'll get capped, he can send t5 in rallies which will burn easily so he don't lose those t5...
So the statement "F2p = t5 only for darknest" is completely wrong, it can be wisely used in many scenarios... Of course it won't be used crazily but that applies to low tier p2p or anyone who don't buy lunite...
Note: cargo ship gives lunite that adds up over time which can be saved for emergency situations... Mentioning it coz i know there will be some smart-ass commenting "what if F2p gets full infirmary with t5"

at a higher grade fist is better than mitts and if you're cheap to play, lvl 12 tempered fist is easier to get.If not for mitts, I'd personally go for fist rather than cordex lol. The HP is better for defending, I know some people will come in with their mere assumptions that atk is twice as better than HP but I think that the HP is massive especially when defending, more than the atk. If you watch "crystal briefs" in some situations, HP is way way better than atk

Mitts is the best. But on the alternatives, I'm for fist over cordex lol, you'll only lose range atk and gain army HP and a little more cav stats

I never really followed the rule of working on mix first and blasts after…mainly bc I was farmer first 2 years or so and when I finally got the motivation to make gear, I could make both mix and blast gear at same time.

My best guess is bc as you grow your account, you’ll be faced w a lot of enemies waiting for shield to drop so they can attack you. Having decent mix gear to defend will minimize damage done to your account if being attacked.

There’s also the fact that making a mix set is gonna be a lot cheaper than making individual sets for blasts, so unless you’re a big spender, it’s more worth it to only focus on mix set

Blast sets are meant to be used for darknests or if you’re rallying/soloing something. Most people who have the balls to go into fury to rally/solo are ppl that are either comfortable with amount of troops they have, their set used for defending, or both.

Being a Army HP person I beg to differ. personally I think that the talons are better than tassets, +7% army HP is way better than 14% atk difference of one troop type (in this case 14% inf atk) so tallons are the best non-champ legs. It's not worth going for the tassets if you're going for mix, they're harder yet they're not the best

Same applies to people who prefer cordex over dragon fist as second best after mitts

Either way, it's not true saying that talons is better than tasset. Overall, both give army HP (tasset 14%) and talons (21%). Even if the 14% infantry attack was not an important factor in saying that it's better than talons, there's still the 28% army defense worth (28 x 3 / 5) = 16.8 points. Combine that with the infantry attack, and that's 30.8 points compared to 10.5 points.
Normally I'd say if someone's mix is really low in army HP, then I'd lean more towards using Talons sure. But in a perfect mix set, you'll already have army HP from the firewall plate, the bumblehelm, and the mitts. And then as DryDuck pointed out, the preferred mix set will already be wicked range heavy, while lacking infantry attack and severely lacking cavalry attack. You need Storm Tasset to help balance out the stats.
People do like to use winter mitts over champ offhand for defending when in forts, while using champ offhand for attacking...so maybe black crow is better than tracker for defense. I can't say for sure, because I've never tested it. But since mix consists of both attacking (examples WoW and DA), and defending, you need to take both into account.

For a mix gear Mitts give overall higher HP to all units, if your morale drops or your comp gets smaller very fast, Cav atk will not matter much

And on top of that it sorts out your Rng weakness, later you can sort it out again with Jewels

It depends I for example use fist and have it +12 due to fact it gives me overly more cav which I lack, the difference in hp can be fixed with champ jewel cav would require 2 atk jewels for me.

Especially if you use rings, the fist is much better in my opinion.

If you take out the jewels from all of the equipment he is showing, the cav stat is the highest by 15-17%. Purple ring/purple scroll/blue cup all beat mythic drum stat-wise, and it's true it will become the lowest stat after taking mythic drum out, but not by an amount that jewels can't fix. He can just replace the terror jewel he has on mitts with a cav jewel if wants to. Or replace wyrm jewel on firewall plate with gargantua jewel

Not like cav is the most important blast stat anyway in a mix...when defending, it usually rare to be sitting in cav front when get attacked, mainly because there's really no need to be in cav front, like when doing dns or leading rallies. Granted, all 3 troop types will end up attacking the enemy when they attack you...so cav attack will be included. But still better to seek out the gear piece that gives highest overall stats for same reason.

Inf is like most commonly used type in opening rally, because most people sitting in rng wedge. Which means cav is quite important stat when defending.

Ummm I think when I made mine mythic, I had terror lash lv12 tempered at time…did the calculations and mythic blade would only beat lv12 terrorlash if had terror jewel in addition to the inf attack one.

In your case, mythic blade with one 1 inf jewel should beat out lv2 mythic terrorlash with inf and terror jewel

I’m gonna do calculations again to confirm

Ok nevermind. Lv12 terrorlash beats non-tempered mythic blade for inf gear (assuming both have no jewels in them).

By using Mythic Blade with inf/rng jewel, it’ll have similar stats to lv2 terrorlash with inf/terror jewel @patent silo

So feel free to replace it…stats won’t really change unless you start tempering your blade (or if you rejewel blade to include terror jewel)
