What you have put of bags (gathered) can be taken by anyone who attacks you. You can gather an almost unlimited number of resources. But when you migrate, they all disappear, up to the number your vault can hold (~5m at max)

For heavy P2P it's "probably" not worth it. Like, you'd likely get similar rewards out of $20-30 worth of packs. But if you're that heavy of a spender, it's also no big deal to pick up a couple no brainer quests that you'd do anyway. The 248pt increase might quest when you're about to boost a 24h troop training regardless. Or ess19 quest / legendary loot quest etc
