Well, it depends on your main T2 front.

Inf wedge is the strongest multi rally front since same type doesn't hurt it as much as the others. But ranged wedge is still a strong front. Basically whatever you're stronger with or have more troops in, and if it's equal go inf

I think its good saving gems as f2p, as you never know with what new event or feature is IGG gonna come up with.

In my bid to have high cav stats,People tell me that I should get rid of the drum Because the cav Hp won't be effective unless I have a cav front. I don't have a cav front but my largest squad is cav , so I basically get all stats from the drum. The cav HP too helps reduce DMG from p5 fams. And this is vital.

There's a reason no recommended mix set includes a drum.
And a reason people constantly advise folks with a drum to swap it for a ring or scroll.
The only reason it's so common to see mythic drum in f2p mix sets: it's relatively cheap and easy to make. But cheap doesn't make it the best defence.
