Basically from one of layd's screenshot, look at the number of rng and cav, low cav or not up to inf and cav rng you send rng mixed like a 442, 424 variant or a 992.
Low rng and heavy inf comps like 857, 956, 442 variant with 221 heroes could work. 14 3 3 could probably work against low rng and not much cav also.

Again don't know if these comps are correct but that's the basics check the troops; inf, cav and rng and send a mix based on whatever is lower. Also heroes are considered when sending. 122 and 221 is normal, but 221 is situational.
Phalanx as well as fams manipulation are important so you won't get countered in the most funny way

When I hit 424 with 208, I did very good damage like 260k of troops were gone, and I only lost around 90k .. but when I did 14 3 3 against 442, I got 150k and he got 180k, wasn’t too fun but at least I still won
