Use the Oakroot skill to selectively heal the pyrises so they don't all die at once, because they're easy enough to kill and they don't really damage you except when they die they explode and take out your heroes. So you should use the familiar skill to heal the pyris, just pick one to not heal and kill them off one at a time. No need to spam prima like an idiot, as you put it.
It's the same with all the levels in this edition - there's a familiar on your team with a skill that you use selectively for best effect.
