The webhooks cannot create threads, the channel ID in a webhook url directs the message to a channel, ?thread_id= just further directs it to a thread channel inside the parent channel.

Yeah they can we just don’t support it

#

And ids in webhooks urls are the webhook id not the channel id

#

Otherwise it would change whenever you move the webhook and fail to function as an identifier

what's underlined is the set channel ID

celest quiver
#

it isn't

fast void
#

my mind is blown

celest quiver
#

every webhook has an ID and that's it

#

every resource pretty much

discord ids are all numbers, it's :id/:token

#

which is why you don't share the token. ids are just timestamps so they can be shared

fast void
#

isnt the ID for the channel? because it is identical to the channel ID changes when you move the webhook to a new channel

celest quiver
#

it isn't and it doesn't

#

oh it does what the hell

fast void
#

are you messing with me

#

i cant tell

celest quiver
#

oh copied the wrong webhook url lmao

#

yeah it doesn't change and it isn't the channel id

fast void
#

oh i guess i am messing with me then O_og_look_at

celest quiver
#

idk where you got that info

fast void
#

probably did the same thing you did and also set the webhook to the wrong channel too many tims

#
