normally it's for a select few old accounts
up to a certain point in the game, you just gained 1 extra point if you redid battle 100 of the tower

I usually use a specific tree for Khaotic and one for bosses (with Khaotic going deep in the health tree to get the dot reduction). Looking over this one it looks a lot like my boss tree (except I use special end)
However I was wondering for the first talent is that much better than the blocked attacks doing more dmg or toughness reduction? I’m not entirely sure on how toughness functions but a couple % increase on basic attacks that land seems like it would do a lot less than roughly 10% increased dmg on attacks that are blocked (especially since my rockin stones is only f7 and I don’t have all the gear to run block breaker every time in large amounts)
Any info on why the choice of the 1st talent surpasses the others (especially in the context of boss battles) would be much appreciated so I can define my boss tree. Thank you

You can’t use more than the limit: when you try it’ll say “you’ve hit the max bumber”.
If for some reason it allows you then you’ve found a bug, and you can either just keep using it or switch back to 102 if you’re worried about them thinking you’re hacking
I personally would switch back to 102 since the risk of being banned is not worth any marginal stat increase
There was a time I was refreshing shao tower attempts to try to get to floor 100 again since they were only giving points in the 100th floor for subsequent runs, but they changed that/made it so you can’t use it which was absolutely obnoxious because I wasted those souls.
It would’ve been fine to allow 1 talent point per 100 runs since they’re limited by day and when I did the math it was something like a month and a half - 2 months just for 1 point. It would’ve taken over a year to get one more talent maxed and move to the next but of course that way of keeping people engaged is squashed

its universal, you dont need to specialize your talent tree. 102 is enough to get alot of things
theres basically 2 main builds which is offense and support for WPA, or offense and defense for revenant/bone shield

snare is one of the most important debuffs in the game
offense basically no matter what build you play you use the offense tree its just to good

Only time I run something different is special ending on boss fights with 3 enemies or if I’m doing Khaotic krypt I’ll take revenant + the dot reduction: I know it’s not ideal but it makes it so I don’t have to suffer through arctic wind (but now that my malice is fx it’s not really an issue and I find myself doing it less and less)

I think that 20% chance on Centurion Defense is not good enough. It’s just luck if you reflect the damage and so it doesn’t often work when you really need it. I prefer a sure chance to reduce damage by 20% on a blocked SP attack. Specially if your opponent has bone shield or revenant shield and the only thing you can do is do block for 5 seconds.

I guess you were lucky because it doesn’t always work. 20% chance is once every 5 times. Just because it worked 2 times for you does not mean it will always work. Statistics are on large set of events. Not on once or twice but many times.
If it always worked than X-Ray attacks would be useless as everybody would have that defense.
I tried it as a talent but in the end I settled for Shokan defense. More effective and useful more times.
To tactic to win boss battles, is you must not let them attack you. Otherwise they often do X-Ray attacks that Centurion defense can block once if you are lucky, very rarely twice but in the end they will hit you killing you or anyway making you lose precious time I hope you do@fathom juncot have in boss battles.
Sorry for mistyping. I meant precious time that you do not have in boss battles. That is why the most effective characters are that fast ones. They can do combo Enders followed by SP attacks consecutively so bosses do not have time to block or counter attack.

Agree with @topaz flower, I prefer a reliable defense rather than one with a 20% chance of kicking in. It can be a game changer when it does, though, so it might be a good choice if you’re stuck on a tower level.

when someone has weaker character this will be a game changing moment as when boss do xray on towers and the centurian defense activates. that is more than a days worth of attack for some player. while shokan dominance is respectable if opponent dont use block breaker equipment/character/sp. which in the higher fused character mostly has equipped. on rare occasion there is player who dont use some sort of block breaker in high fused character.
also shokan dominance only activates while blocked. most opponent dont use sp unless they have use basic attack which in most case is block breaker. so unless opponent decide to use sp right after tagin with out block breaking shokan dominance will not work. while centaurian defense will have a chance to activate and reflect the full damage it dealt with block breaking attack.
also in boss fights with BD kabal with BD team. only handful of character with longer sp/ character defeat animation are able to block kabals tagin xray. so unless someone use those characters the shokan dominance wont work. ultimately failing the shokan dominance tree. I would rather take my chance and deal 2 attack worth of damage than lose character because of unblockable free xray.

Also afaik, teamwork talent only work for the actual power spent. For example it doesnt work with free sp1 or sp2. 10% from 100% is 10%. I think it's just too subtle to see the different from 10% of 91% which is 9,1% and 10%

They need to hit ASAP when possible

Spec ops tactic might work better in that case to spam out the SP1. I usually spam sp1 to get the Xrays
And meditation would not help with that.

Guess I didn’t disagree with a big chunk of your guide. It’s a matter of taste but I feel like the focusing on defense is what is most useful unless you’re setting up your talent points to fit a specific team
I’ve probably spend 100s of souls trying to find a good talent tree set up as well 😂

I've tested this setup with the teams I mention in the video and it works well for me
I don't like very much FW equipment, I tend to use the special equipment of each character and tower equipment

Yeah the tower equipment that’s been coming out is really good. However the special equipment sometimes doesn’t work for me cuz it doesn’t work well with some characters. Example Johnny cage doesn’t need half SP2 cost usage cuz his best tool is his SP1

U might need to change talent set for a few specific stage to pass tower with limited card
Like, focus on offense most of the time but still max centaurian, revenant and teamwork to give u more burst power that u need to pass a stage in tower
In another time, like facing strong enemy that require u to utilize snare or maybe if ur main team is including a power draining card then taking weak point attack is a must, hence less focus in offense
