well the whole point of it is that it can be good depending on the stats of your toughness

if you have any maxed golds or diamonds with a good toughness pool or gear to boost it even more, it can be quite nice

it can reduce crit damage to small pebbles of damage

although there has been a damage resistance cap added to the game awhile back, so you can’t just be completely immune to crits

Horse stance is currently bugged and gives crazy fast energy generation. But it's generally agreed that you focus on the offensive/ support talents and only put 5 points into hawk stance for defensive talents.

Before I knew the Max was 102 , I tried taking advantage of a bug. If the game was desync and you attempted Shao khan tower , if you own , it would award you a point, and not count as one of your three daily tries. You'd also be able to replay thd battle you just fought since the game didn't register it.

So I tried farming that bug hoping for infinite talent points. Atleast that's how I got 136

The game seems to be "out of sync" often. Even without the warning "WB Account is out of sync" the game has issues with restarts and crashes. I didn't know it was a "bug" until the game started asking me to restart and I didn't no why. Couldn't use more than 102, who knew!

When the talent system was first introduced there was a bonus 2 skill points for completing a tutorial. So the old school players have 102 points legitimately .

As for people like me with 136 , I took advantage of a desync bug thinking I'd be able to use all the talent points and not just 102

I'd say;

Bear stance for hawk stance. The resistance can save you from stun, DOTs , fear and well all status effects that's more useful than a 25% health buff.

Change gambler for precision. The granteed combo enders are much more damage and better for power gen than a +30 in the mini games. If you having issues with getting a good score look on yt there's simple ways to "cheat" them. Like using two fingers for the one with the big circle.

Lastly horse stance is currently bugged so it only needs one talent point

I've tried a few runs with the new talent tree, without defense and with talents on support instead. Both krypt and towers are OK but I do miss the shinnok bone thingy and, especially, the life saver revenant (keeps you at 1% after a blow that should have killed you).
Is it just due to me not being an expert or do you guys swap talent trees and use one with defense revenant for krypt, for instance? Thanks in advance

Also the best defense is a strong offense especially in this game. Figure out how to combo and chain attacks that would serve you better than using defensive stuff
