There is not any mystery: the fusion of your characters matter, the tier also matters (if they're bronze, silver, gold or diamond) and the equipment you put in them also increase chance of success (and their fusion level aswell).

I don't recommend to use Quests as your main source for characters (drop rate is very low), your better chances are at Faction Wars Blood Ruby Packs at the end of each season

@hardy rose just so you are aware it can be rewarding. After months of nothing I got 4 or 5 goros out of quest mode. It made him my first x fusion with the ones I got out of fw and packs. Beat klassik scorpion by a week and I put all my fw rewards into getting klassik scorpion until he maxed out.

i only do 1 hr or 8 hr quest. 1 hr = 90,91 and 112 (that's 10,10 and 13 souls) 112 has the highest souls for a 1hr quest in the game. 8 hr = 75, 84 and 95 because i get bonus rewards for them (thats 30 souls each minimum, 33 max) and don't forget renown.
1hr quest 5 times, then 8hr 2 times before work and sleep.

If you have most of outworld quests unlocked, you can spam the 1hr quests...which is about 27 souls an hour....which means that someone like me who gets 16 rounds out can get well over 400 souls a day...

Open the basic gold pack as much as possible to fuse up your golds, that should help you get them....forget the diamond packs right now, an unfused diamond is crap against a maxed basic gold....

Yes, don't hurry for diamonds if you're still with a weak gold collection. Go for the gold pack, and you'll be able to repeat the best 1h quests soon. FX Golds are good for everything.

90% is not always, 100% is always. You can obtain failure at 99% chance, or get a win at 1% chance, that's how probability works. It's binomial, unless it's 100% chance, you will always get two possibilities: victory or failure.

@stoic wigeon you only have a CHANCE to get the characters and equipment you see on quests, no guarantee. Just keep doing them and you’ll be rewarded every once in a while. But quests are not a good way to get characters, they’re too rare. Focus on maxing caro’s guidance and getting souls. @dusty acorn

If you take the time to change gear and then take a look at the % of succes you will see a difference. A rare piece with health boost will increase chances more then an epic shokans armor and a rare T800 will do more then epic sindels ring.

caro's guidance is a rare drop. but it can increase after you unlock. if you want it, use that equipment on the ones that shows caro's guidance equipment as a potential reward. with each fuse it'll increase. but the first one will take a bit time

What is the best way to grind for souls? I am getting back into the game (lvl 29) and would like to get some DF packs since they're on sale. Are quests the way to go still? if so, what are some good one's to do. i do not have tower 6 unlocked yet. I read 1 hr quests are good but any other tips/tricks
