@willow steppe I can strongly disagree here. The only time when I use BLF is in a DOT team such as RM, MK11 Scorp and Assassin Skarlet. Apart from that once you get a maxed out diamond team it is more harmful than useful considering the number of Liu Kang (COS and Klassic) starters. Another thing is - Devastator almost does the same job as BLF but apart from it is useful during the full game. But anyhow...if BLF fits your playstyle...go for it 😉

I'd like to coincide with what @small meteor had to say - Most kards can benefit off of the effects of the BLF (e.g. Klassic Liu Kang) and I'd only consider it useful for characters who deal mainly Fire DoT Damage (e.g. MK11 Scorpion) IMO, there's really no difference in the Devastator & Blaze's Life Force as both of these Equipments share common effects in-battle - it's really up to player preference of how they play best. 🍻

There are both equipment and character passives to generate power quickly. With certain combos, you can have teams that power gen very fast

I wouldn't do that, most characters in the game have passives that boost power gen for a certain class - some equipment cards (especially Rings) also boost Power Generation by a minimum of +15% to +45% and beyond.

@small meteor My favourite starting equipment in faction war is now maxed out ice bomb. Freezes opponents out man. Especially playing against COS LK. It’s fun watching him frozen and unable to use his passive.

DotD Jade is kinda difficult, but you can kick your enemy by her tag-in attack and immediately block, if your opponent does any attck from distance, you can get attack boost. Just remember, it boosts attack per any MISSED attack

You can thwart DLLK's beginning of match stun with gladiator helmet and elemental stones or one of those and Sindel's signet ring. They might need to be maxed, though for 100% effectiveness. Also a maxed Ice Bomb will freeze him, preventing an attack.

Relentless JV with his mask also has some stun resistance.

Earth Elemental Facemask gives a good 30% resistance to all Debuffs. RJV can effectively use that along with his mask.

Cassie Cage's armor also has some debuff resistance.

@languid fractal Yeah. I forgot that her and RJV equipment both give 50% resistance to all debuffs. So equipping EEF adds 30% for 80% total. I am primarily concerned about Slow and Stun debuffs, so adding the maxed Amulet gives 30% more resistance for a grand total of 110% when it comes to Slow and Stun. I seldomly bother to equip for resistance to Poison and Bleed. I wonder if that extra 10% is reflected or if it does nothing. If someone knew they needed Poison and Bleed resistance they both could get a whopping 150% resistance to them by equipping maxed SSR and Blood Stone Ring. That extra 50% should cause health or power increase for the wearer, if not then it should blow back to the opponent. The Medallion, not to be forgotten, gives 30% resistance to Poison and Bleed when maxed.

I almost always use Sento Blade and other, "45% unblockable on basic attacks equipment; Blazes Life Force; Drahmin's Mask. I also might try to use equipment with attributes specific to FW. I also tend to use a fighter's own equipment, particularly when it's quite good equipment and when using 4 slot characters. I used to use one character equipped with Sindel's Signet Ring and Gladiator Mask and swap that card into the first card slot for FW fights against DELK when he's the first one up . Now I just equip a maxed Ice Bomb.

You don’t need block breaking gear anyway. Just wait until they attack and you can usually interrupt them between their 2nd and 3rd hit. And if they have block breaking gear, just use the Shadow Sash

Not really, I only use it as a convenience item. The AI can be tricky, but so long as your character is medium-fast on the first hit, you’ll always be good

How do you interrupt them? Whenever I try I get pummeled but the AI always seems to be able to interrupt my attacks

Depends on the character. Most characters have a gap between their second and third attack in a combo. Some, like Assassin Jade, can be interupted after the first hit

For example with Jade, block her kick, then do a basic attack as soon as the kick is blocked. Your attack will come out before hers, thus interupting her

with assassin jade if you get the timing down it's a great way to bypass her passive with a SP1 or 2
