As a new player, just grind away. Even if you can't beat a tower level do your free attempts. Maybe you get lucky and drop epic equipment. If you can't beat a tower then you are prob better off saving your souls and opening soul packs when they are on sale. Higher fusion characters will allow you to progress farther in towers and Krypt.

If you can't complete Khaotic Krypt don't attempt it. Do whichever level you can complete. That way you can get max amount of Krypt currency to buy equipment and characters.

Do survivor with as many characters as you can. Even if you don't complete all the battles you still earn kuni for the ones you do win.

RK is a another avenue by which you can gain fusions for your cards.
