Well here's a bit of what Midway was:
After shinnok was defeated by Liu Kang in edenia (instead of Johnny in MKX), Kitana and Sindel lead up edenia to their freedoms fighting against Shao Kahn. For this, Kitana made an alliance with Goro. Noob Saibot, after shinnok and the netherrealm were defeated, turned to Shao Kahn side. He fought against Goro, beating him and leaving him for dead. But In the middle of the war, the deadly alliance showed up and murdered (apparently) Shao.
Then we found Shao Kahn made a copy (the one that was killed), he helped Goro and they turned allies again

When Goro is healed, the DA is no longer, because Onaga was resurrected
