in theory you would only need one team, but if I were you I would do 2 just for the purpose of completing a silver challenge tower in 1 go. so you don't have to wait for their energy to refresh and/or so you can preserve those 3 souls if you were to buy energy refill.

I bought quite afew trying to max the cage fam. I also bought alot of the 150 basic gold packs until i could complete the challenges. Its all well and good people saying just buy skarlet packs but i started off doing that and my progress was alot slower than when i used what little gems i had on the 150. Now if you get an influx of souls then yes the 400soul skarlet pack but if its the usually day to day grind souls, the basic pack worked for me

Thanks for pointing out the obvious however you completely missed my point on where I said that amount of souls can literally be made in a day and 9 times out of 10 you're paying for a gold over a diamond so there's no problem with paying an extra 50 for a specific card you won't get from opening a pack
In the long run you're not substituting fx golds for diamonds anytime soon (unless you're desperate or using the ones that are usable at low fusions)
And at the end of the day it's the players decision on what they want to buy
