It's just luck of the draw, you play faction wars & challenges to build up your souls & take your chances in the store packs or faction wars rewards... Everyone has different experiences & all you can do is increase your odds by using tricks you develop over time by playing & tips from others.

If you really want to speed up your chances, build up a strong gold team & reach lvl 100 or 110 in the brutality tower's. In the fatal towers you get a diamond for getting past lvl 100, & in the normal tower's you get one for passing lvl 110.
