you have these options:

• mk11 packs for fusing your mk11 characters up, start with mk11 skarlet pack for fusing scorp (best character in the game) and sub0 (top mk11 and supporter)
• waiting for Elite Netherrealm Elder God pack to grind your kollection more easily with diamonds (cause it has highest diamond chances) and it has good golds too in it.
• waiting for black friday that starts on 26th november because it´s a big sale event and you can open more diamond packs and you might want to get some specific diamond characters

mk11 packs are permanent, so you can open them after the sale ends but that´s on you

• mk11 characters have been added: scorp, sub0, jade, skarlet, kabal, raiden, shang tsung, nightwolf, rain, noob (it´s the best team in the game and scorp being as the best member of it, so open the permanent mk11 packs in the store)
• new golds: klassic smoke, klassic jade, klassic noob, kombat cup cassie
• new diamonds: mk11 characters, guardian terminator, dark fate terminator, fire god liu kang, klassic rain, kold war skarlet, assassin skarlet
• main menu changes
• faction wars quick battles have new modifier: fusion boost. and new mode: survivor (best mode to grind faction wars quick battles)
• new towers: sorcerer tower, kold war tower, edenian tower, earthrealm tower (more might be added)
• brutalities (requires 2 tower equipments for specific characters each and it´s for diamonds only): scorp, sub0, noob, jade, skarlet, raiden, kabal, rain, liu kang, kitana, reptile, shang tsung, sonya, johnny, kung lao
• character shop has 3 characters you can buy and they refresh overtime (this shop is different for everyone)

it kinda does, not higher than 100%. but it’s best to keep one block breaker and you have characters like covert ops cassie giving spec ops unblockable chance and fire god liu kang for elder gods instead, so these people give the team with the same class unblockable (both basic attacks and special attacks) which makes you not having to use block breaker equipment for anyone

mk11 being the best fighter of his team "mk11" & has better fighting attacks than klassic liu kang (better basics, sp1 infinite chaining, lethals on basics + his teammates get it too, fire dots to melt). with his teammates "mk11", he gets better synergy (like mk11 noob giving lethal dmg boost, sub0 giving ressurection, jade healing him from dots).

klassic liu kang is a lonely guy but still top 5 due to the fact that he still has infinite crippling for "support", dot immune and heal from fire, powerful sp2, fast basics with good power gen. so he gets to be the 2nd best guy

mk11 noob is the 3rd, behind klassic liu kang. because he may be "mk11" but klassic liu kang has better fighting strategies than him

the ressurection is not his "big part". he's better because he's a challenge gold rather than slasher jason who is the rarest gold (he comes in friday 13th) and unstoppable jason can spam sp2 regeneration which makes him "unstoppable" + he has fast basics enough to spam the opponent. about the ressurection, slasher jason has 3 ressurections but 1 ressurection is enough. you have "revenant" too from the talent tree which is an additional ressurection. unstoppable jason can simply get a second ressurection if you put him in a team with sf scorp or warlock quan chi (quan chi ressurects netherrealmers which jason is). but there's "death mark" for preventing ressurections and slasher jason would completely get destroyed since he just dies while he had 3 ressurections
