I had to ask support to remove those excess souls manually

1. If Kitana is close to getting an x-ray, let her do the tag-in attack on you. She will be guaranteed to miss her x-ray
2. After doing a fatal blow/x-ray to Jade, if she also has 3 bars of power, let her attempt the x-ray. It will always miss due to immediate distance set between you and Jade (NOTE: Make sure to BLOCK immediately after your fatal blow is finished)
