you can skip the story as it's nothing, just do these things as usual: play event tower (edenian tower for example) along with refreshes if you can finish it, if not then do it without refreshes, do the challenges (they can grind you fusions & souls), play shao kahn tower to obtain enough fragments when the relic hunt comes back (read pinned guide message in #🏯-towers-relic-hunt), do 1 hour quests (outworld is enough) to farm souls, when reptile event comes back do the 1d quests to grind those amount of eyes and unlock him by battling him

a very worth gold pack that can appear is the spec ops pack. it costs 200 souls and you're able to get only the spec ops out from it which are the best basic golds to form a team together and have good synergy (especially co cassie, buy only her when you see her in the character store). this is only just for to build a good basic gold team that you can use
