For those having connection issues : You should go to google.com. Once there, search: speed test. There, results a Run Speed Test button, right on the results page. The testing is done by Measurement Lab (M-Lab). The tests seem more accurate than Ookla results and M-Lab grades your speed results, such as, Your Internet speed is slow, ok, fine or fast, with or without the modifier "very". It also let's you know how your connection speed would handle streaming HD video, etc.
Download and upload speed are tested, unlike on Ookla. If your dl speeds average less than 1.5Mbps, or so, you'll likely have connection problems. Also, an extremely low upload speed (<0.8Mbps) can cause connection issues too.
