His power also generates pretty fast so try using power drain if you can.
Or stun. If you stun him he cant attack you for some time

I tried for like 10 times now with elder god kenshi, balanced and warlock quan chi

I got down 1/4 of his hp using blaze's life force and attacking him with power drain a lot

if you are farming souls & anywhere getting decent enough souls to open packs then do so & then use the level up cards from those packs to level up sf scorp. those cards are precious so use them when he is high enough in level & you're finding it hard (or bored) to level him up further
