I've never had luck with death mark, either I can't apply it often enough for the damage buff to matter, or I can't apply it at the right time to prevent a resurrection, so I don't bother including it in my tree anymore

The Guardian Terminator pack has guaranteed challenge gold with 14% chance at diamond for 400, but the Elite NEG Pack has a much higher chance at diamonds than any other pack that I've seen at around 27.5% for 450 souls.

Are there any other packs in particular that I should save souls for? It seems that the MK11 one keeps biting me in the butt with its measly 10% diamond chance for 400 souls...

Point 1: You can get 5 challenge characters for FREE every single week, assuming you finish normal/hard/elder and get only challenge golds from faction wars from that week of grinding. For 5 challenge cards, you would have to buy the challenge pack 5 times. 5 x 300 = 1500. You save 1,500 souls EVERY WEEK

Point 2: 1 challenge pack = 300 souls and a fusion on one character
2 gold packs = 300 souls and a fusion on two characters

Which one is the better deal? Which one do you progress more with? Getting fusions on two characters or getting a fusion on only one character? You tell me

Point 3: Literally EVERY single pack in the game is a better deal than challenge packs. For example, diamond packs. Diamond packs are in the shop ALL the time. They usually cost 400 souls. Diamond packs give you the EXACT same thing challenge pack offers and MORE. You get a chance to obtain high quality, top tier diamond cards.

Point 4: The priority for beginners is maxing out basic golds first. And what pack offers basic golds at a very cheap price? Gold pack.

Challenge characters will come to you for FREE. You do not need to grind souls to open challenge packs, you need to grind souls to open gold packs. Gold packs are much more valuable and contain some of the top tier basic golds, such as Inferno Scorpion, Warlock Quan Chi, and Covert Ops Cassie Cage. Gold packs cost 1/2 the price of challenge packs, 150 souls.

I'm relatively new, so while FW quickplay gives maybe slightly more XP and gives WP, battle mode gives me similar, if not better, XP gains and I can just set my game to auto 2x speed.

A few things
One: survival mode isn't going anywhere, but there needs to be a way to balance it with quick mode, which can be done a number of ways, including making a very small bonus apply to characters in quick mode as well(it would only be like a 1.05 bonus so as not skew things too much)
2. Revamp the pack system so that it isn't so painful to do a large pack opening if your luck isn't going so well this could be done a number of ways personally I like crisplay's method if you want to watch his video on it
A couple others, but they are largely explained in videos by Crisplay and KC Mobile
